Guru analyzes the reasons why Man City's form has dropped this season.

Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore believes Manchester City‘s recent form is due to manager Pep Guardiola running out of energy and his players needing new motivation.

Collymore, now a pundit, said: “It’s a simple reason. Football is cyclical. It happened with Arsene Wenger, Sir Alex Ferguson and Arrigo Zacchi. It happens with every manager who has been at a club for more than five or six years.”

“The old managers are less motivated, while the young coaches like Ruben Amorim come into the picture and want to train every day like Pep did at Barcelona. In Pep’s case, there’s something different, and his way of playing requires constant perfection over the long term.”

“In the same way, a lot of great rock bands think they can play at a stadium like Wembley forever. But the truth is, your energy goes down, you get older, you have less hunger. Sometimes players need a boost and a new stimulus in the dressing room.”

“Like with Jurgen Klopp when he left Liverpool, people thought the new manager wouldn’t be able to carry on the ทางเข้า ufabet job smoothly in the beginning. But Arne Slot has come in with a different personality and a different approach and so far it’s worked out well because he’s different and creates a new atmosphere in the dressing room.”
